We stayed at the World Center Marriott for a family trip and were extremely disappointed with the overall experience. From check-in to check-out, the level of service and professionalism was far below what we expected from a Marriott property.
At check-in, despite having a confirmed reservation and email from Expedia, the front desk staff accused Expedia of double-booking us. Rather than assisting or looking into the issue, they were dismissive and unhelpful, making an already stressful travel day even more frustrating. The entire check-in process was painfully slow and chaotic.
Throughout our stay, staff remained indifferent and unprofessional. The hotel hallways were constantly loud with unsupervised children running and yelling at all hours of the day and night. This wasn’t just a brief disturbance—it was ongoing, and security did absolutely nothing to address it.
To top it all off, the main pool was closed multiple times due to rain (even when the weather cleared), and there was zero communication from the staff about when it would reopen. Many guests, including us, kept asking and were given no clear answers. For the price we paid, the lack of access to key amenities like the pool—especially with kids in tow—was incredibly inconvenient and disappointing.
This hotel may look like a high-end resort on the surface, but the guest experience is poorly managed and frustrating. Definitely not worth the cost, and I would not recommend it—especially to families.
