“Everything from reservations to check out was wonderful. The accommodations were very cozy and the surroundings by the pond and animal enclosures were beautiful. We enjoyed seeing some deer and wild turkey from our window also. We chatted with Peter and he is delightful. Other than a few minute chat, we only saw he and his wife doing chores around the farm. We stayed in HB1. HB2 is basically the same and the Manor House right behind them looked.great for a larger party. ”

“The house was perfect for our family! The tree/bush by the driveway is overgrown and made it difficult to see when pulling out. ”

“We stayed with our adult son and 2 dogs over Thanksgiving week. The house was very cool, had a great layout, comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. On the down side, there was no heat in the bathrooms, the rain shower heads sprayed all over the place, the towels were more like blankets than towels (we went and purchased regular terry towels). The driveway is steep and would require 4-wheel drive in winter. We wanted to do some star gazing but there were so many outside lights……

“We stayed as we are in between houses and wanted to have a larger place to host and cook the holiday meal. I will say that the house could definitely use some updates and also a deep cleaning. Generally, it was comfortable and the views of the river are beautiful. The whole house was well stocked with just about anything we needed that we forgot to bring. I would have loved it more during warm weather but even during the winter, it was comfortable. ”

“Warm and cozy cabin for a great girls wknd enjoying the local wineries. Jana was quick with communication when i had questions. They provided a lot of the essentials if you forgot anything. I. Took away a star for location because the roads are mostly gravel and steep hills. I think there should be a disclaimer”

“Our family of 6 adults enjoyed the weekend at this lovely home. It was a perfect location to access Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed the views and hot tub after our hike. We also used the gas grill to make dinner together one night.”

“This beautiful property is so perfectly appointed. My family stayed for a week in Front Royal at Shenandoah and could not have had a better spot. We hiked every day and made dinner every evening. We couldn’t get over how beautiful the kitchen was with such very nice quality dinnerware and everything we could possibly need. The house had comfortable spaces, bedrooms and lovely morning Mountain views. Greg was an excellent host. ”

“First, Julie responded immediately to any need and was easy to reach. A few points on what this cabin is and is not. Access is easy, only the last 500' is gravel, no 4 wheel required. The neighborhood is not the best but being at the end of the lane and tree cover gives good privacy and screening. The cabin- a contemporary structure with a very rustic interior. The 2nd br is a loftwith bath on the 1st FL. Large master br and bath - very nice and a well equipped kitchen. Very large outdoor……

“House was in a great location. Close to many wineries! Missing the love/care. Cleaning service needs to be replaced. Dog hair found on bedding & floors which got stirred up with ceiling fan on. Limited glassware. No hand soap, dish soap to be found which made washing dishes impossible. Other than that, the house was fine. ”
