Bad: Peeling paint, broken footboard, dirty doors and baseboards, broken air con, towels smaller than normal, holes in comforter, closet door removed from hinges, no one at front desk multiple times in evening, old and dated. Expected much more for such a high price per night. Good: showers were good. Good size fridge.

This is an old motel, recently changed names, and painted. We arrived to check in to an empty front desk, we buzzed the buzzer and waited quite awhile for a young lady to come out. No greeting was offered, no smile. We checked in, and went to check out our room. The key was a little tricky, but we managed. The room was clean, parts of it, recently painted. The bathroom was the only thing that looked like it had been completely remodeled. It had a rainfall shower, but the pressure was low and there were no handrails to hold onto to get into the shower. Our safety lock did not work on the door and reported it, yet no one ever came to fix it. We were only there for 2 nights so we didn’t make a big deal about it. The “breakfast” is a “take and go” set up in the lobby. It consists of prewrapped blueberry or chocolate chip muffins, apples, orange juice and regular coffee…no decaf. There is a sign that you can’t eat in the lobby. Just my opinion, but I’d rather not have anything, if this is all that is going to be provided. I just don’t consider this “breakfast.” The pool area was nice, clean, lots of pool toys. I think they could use more chairs and definitely more umbrellas. While we were there, there was just one with a table. The lounge chairs are too low for me, so I need a chair that is higher. There are stairs going to the beach, no ramp, so if you can’t maneuver stairs like me, you’re out of luck going to the beach. The motel lost power on our last night, no A/C, TV.

When I first areived, the room I was given had a broken ac unit. I was immediately provided with another room, hassle-free. The only thing that made my stay unpleasantly, were The guest next door. They had several dogs which barked from 11pm -1am. The humans were loud themselves, constantly banging on their door because they were locked out. The location, convenience to the ocean, (oceanview) price, breakfast snacks, was what I was looking for. I would stay here again.

Great beds & showers. Right on the beach with nice pool. Daily housekeeping very good. On the negative side, minor maintenance needs to be taken care of..ie the faucet in kitchenette was loose at pass through & handle set screw was missing, the door to balcony had hindge, making it difficult to open or close.

The hotel and room was not the cleanest but it was okay. We had to change rooms three times within our 5-day stay which was extremely inconvenient.

This hotel definitely gets a mixed review - for the inn its self, it gets 1.5 stars, yes the room was clean, ac cold and beds comfy but the fact that the shower handle fell off every time we used it, the doors didnt latch correctly, the nasty old smelly couch - this place did not deserve the price tag that we paid! That and Expedia had it advertised as a hot free breakfast - to go muffins do not qualify as hot, especially since I had justified the price since I thought we would be getting breakfast. Now the good. The pool was excellent, ranging from 3'-8', beach/pool towels were nonexistent even though they had been advertised. But the absolute best part was that the beach was literally steps away Ormond beach was beautiful and we greatly enjoyed it, and the only reason this place qualifies for a higher rating. Would I stay here again? Yes - but only at a much lower $$ then what we had to pay since it was the end of Spring Break. So if you book, just come with very very low expectations for the room but knowing you will have a prime beach access spot.
