Our stay was ok. Nothing really bad, but nothing great either. The one thing I will say is that the pools were very clean and well maintained. The Japanese gardens were very pretty. The plants in the spa pool area need a lot of love - most were dead. The frozen drink at Fire and Ice tasted mildewy like the machine needed cleaning. Overall the resort could really be grand if the new owners put money into it. The vintage vibe is cool but needs a freshening up as it’s very dated.

Only had a one night stay experience. The lobby area is very nice with a restaurant a spa and a boutique. The pool areas were extremely nice with beautiful gardens surrounding them and a beverage service conveniently located. We stayed in the main hotel and didnt have the issues reported in some of the reviews. The room was comfortable & spacious enough but The carpets could be updated and i rate the cleanliness as a little less than average. The lake view was enjoyable.

I had a work conference here and the property is in need of a serious update. My rooms bathroom also had black mold on the ceiling. All of the staff at the property were wonderful and super friendly, which might be its only saving grace at the moment. I would not stay here again unless renovations are made, especially when there are much nicer options in the area at the same price point.

First review of my life.. Couldn’t pay me to stay here. Walked into the first room and it hadn’t been cleaned. Pizza boxes everywhere, beds not bad. Hadn’t been touched since the last guest. Got moved to an “upgraded room”. Couldn’t get into the room. Called for them to bring a key, waited 10 minutes and no one came. Went down to front desk and the maintenance man who was supposed to bring a key unknowingly was talking crap about me to the front desk. Overall the WORST experience I’ve ever had. DO NOT STAY HERE

The front of the property looks really nice with the waterfall and flowers. We were put in the back suites with a lake view which was really nice. The outside was under construction which is fine it just has spider webs and an older look. The inside of the room was not pleasant. Beer cans left over on the patio from the previous guests, mold on the ceiling, stains on pillow cases, stains on the carpet, paint missing from the wall. Just very low quality everything. The door has to be basically kicked In to open. Needs work.

The out door pool, bar and lake view is great. Nice friendly staff. But the inside building/ rooms out dated for the price and building needs repairs. Worn out beds. Old, worn ugly carpet through out with exception of the check in lobby. I refuse to walk on the bedroom floor barefoot. Lots of neglected areas with dust, dirt and spider webs.The Marina on the property is a separate company Bombay Boat rental and is a scam. Beware of Bombay ⚠️ They charged my credit card after I cancelled a wave runner rental due to thunder and lightning during that time and no one was out on the water. I had to file dispute with my credit card company because Bombay refused to refund all my money 💰 saying that we could have chosen a future day. I explained vacation is over and heading home.

The location of the property is great and very quiet. The main pool area has been kept up and is very nice. The property is very old and is in desperate need of some renovations. If you need room service or towels, you have to call front desk otherwise they will not service your room everyday. The same dead crickets were on the floor in the bathroom the 3 days we were there and were there when we checked in. We stayed in the separate part of the hotel which we probably wouldn't do again unless they did some renovations.

AC was not working. Staff did not communicate or set proper expectations for maintenance timelines. Ended up sleeping in 78* with a baby, and no help from staff.

Pros: Indoor and outdoor pools were awesome, great spot by the lake, snacks by front desk were very affordable, showers were nice, lots of things to do and explore on the resort, room was clean, balcony was nice, Cons: Only 2 restaurants were actually open, outdated interior, bed was nice but pillows felt flat and cheap, some staff weren’t very inviting, ice machine was difficult to find, the chest fly machine was broken in the gym, bathroom was pretty small and cramped even though the shower pressure was nice Overall the lodge is a nice, quirky place to stay. The hot tub and pools were great, and the rooms were clean and pretty nice, also it was just fun to walk around and explore the resort. Definitely would recommend for a fun weekend getaway for a very fair price, the pools and hot tub were absolutely awesome and for less than $200 you can’t get much better pools than that anywhere else.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to everything we wanted to see. The beds were great. The food was excellent, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. We also appreciated the variety of amenities that made our stay even more comfortable. The only minor downside was that the shower could use a bit of modernization, but it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommend

This place was nice...years ago. It needs updated. They held $50 in case we broke something. It was like I was staying at a Motel 6 in Kansas City. No refrigerator. No ice machine on the floor. Had to hunt for ice. It was so very trashy. There is a reason its cheap.
