“The host is friendly, she sent a welcome e-mail and instructions early and responded on questions quickly. The house is a few km out from Avesta on river bank, nice and quiet. One rents a one room + kitchen + shower/wc whereas there may be other guests renting other parts of the house. The house and the furniture are pretty old, but fully functional (dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, etc.) It is the perfect place if one looks for a peaceful corner, wishes to make food oneself……

“Visiting this house is like traveling back in time, probably 70 -100 years. It seems that the owners did not have the spirit to bring the old house to a modern standard but, in my impression, they even tried to emphasize its small inconveniences. Unfortunately, our stay was very short, and the weather was rainy so we had little chance to really enjoy the place. I can imagine that not everybody will like the place, but I am sure there are many who will be happy to feel the house ambience.
