Wir hatten das Standardzimmer gebucht und Glück, da wir ein komplett neu renoviertes Zimmer erhalten haben. Man hat sogar noch leicht die Farbe gerochen. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die kleine Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück ist gut, insb. das Bananen- und Rosinenbrot sind lecker. Der Service war sehr nett. Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden und gut gesichert. In dem Hotel waren auch einige andere deutsche Reisenden. Auf unserer Rundreise war es das Hotel mit dem besten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

This would have been a fantastic stay but we did book economy rooms and they were fairly basic compared to the rooms with private terraces onto the main gardens. Economy rooms seem to be for the drivers (mini bus and coach drivers etc) so I recommend checking where your room will be and perhaps going up a level.

Grounds were lovely as was the garden room we stayed in. Breakfast was great too. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Some Problems

Very nice, but the night before we were to arrive we were told the swimming pool was not functioning. Bearing in mind the one day was in the mid thirties, this was disappointing. Our room had an artisan working all day, on both sides of us. One night I had to ask him to stop hammering on our walls at 8 o' clock at night. The hotel staff and very nice and considerate. management need to up their game.

Tolles Frühstück. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als Superservice fand ich das Autowaschen angeboten wird. Nach dem Dinner hinstellen und am nächsten Morgen sauber zurück! Einfach toll! Hoffe wir kommen nochmal wieder!

Upmarket lodge, not sure if it was worth the cost

An upmarket lodge, which is reflected in the cost. They provide continental breakfast (cooked breakfast was extra cost). Room was large, clean and comfy. Parking secure. Continental breakfast was underwhelming. Wifi didnt work in our room. Felt it was a little impersonal

Grounds were lovely Room was poor. We had midges in the room (I hope they were midges), long hairs all over the couch (not ours). The safe wasn’t working, the tv was broke, no bath mat, half a roll of toilet tissue. Entry to your room is via old fashioned locks with long keys, starting at 5 in the morning, all we could hear was people opening and closing their doors and the jangling of keys.
