“My husband and I and two friends from the States recently spent three wonderful nights at The Old Church on the Isle of Skye. The beautiful old church has been thoughtfully and beautifully restored and renovated into two 3 bedroom units with ample amenities. We were in the Preachers Rest and had beautiful views of the Little Minch Strait. The stunning grounds of the property were immaculate and lovingly cared for. We would recommend this property and its proprietors without hesitation and hope……

“Beautiful house in a fairly remote location. Just on the edge of the water. Short drive to the stein inn which is the oldest pub on Skye. Loch Bay the only Michelin started restaurant on the island is next to the stein inn.Property as described in the listing.Lovely location, lovely house. “Aw what a lovely stay we had at the bungalow. Deceptively big and laid out so well for families. Very homely. So equipped to be able to cook and the welcome basket with bread, eggs, butter, milk and weetabix was so welcome as shops aren’t easy to find and have short opening hours! We were in awe of the view and look forward to hopefully returning soon.”

We got to see dolphins, seals and eagles from the living room.Plan lots of time if you want to explore Skye from here, since it is pretty far out and the roads are only to driven slowly.The house was not quite as clean as we had expected but Alan and Gill were very kind and did everything to correct it.”

“This is a truly beautiful home in an incredible location. The home is so spacious and is well set up for a very comfortable stay. The setting--literally at the end of the road--offers peace and quiet along with incredible views, and it is fairly central for day trips to the island's sites. Marie is very quick to respond to inquiries and provide helpful information and advice.”

“Joan's house is very spacious, well equipped, and perfectly located within 10 mins walk from the local shops (provisions, crafts and tweed) and the local restaurant, deli, ButtyBus, harbour and lochs. Thee ideal base location from which to explore by vehicle, bike, or on foot. Slept like logs, all of us. Fab kitchen for eating and socialising with friends, with really good decking out back and village and loch views to the front. Gorgeous sunsets, depending on the weather. Stay, relax,……
