“We didn't know what to expect so we were amazed at how fortunate we were to select Rosecrest for our stay in Kentucky. Beautiful, horse country. Upon our arrival, Lyra gave us a golf cart tour of the area around the guesthouse. We met the horse and learned about the history. Even if you're not a horse lover, Lyra will tell you what you need to know to feel comfortable around the horses - to be safe and to keep them safe. The house is very comfortable. “The setting and surrounding area were great. Good hiking; the pool looked very nice. The room could have used some updating and maintenance. The sink faucet dripped and the shower control did not work properly; it was very tricky to regulate. Rust on the towel rack. The bathroom did not appear to have any ventilation causing a great amount of moisture build up when using the shower. The bed was comfortable. ”

“The cabin was clean and in good order. Everything we needed was there . We only needed to bring ourselves and the food . The hot tub was enjoyed in the evenings after exploring the gorge all day . We hiked in three different areas of the park and came back to peace and quiet . I counted 4 cars go by for the entire stay . The only sounds were the birds singing. If ya don’t mind the drive from town , I highly recommend this cabin ”

“We liked it overall. No directions for fireplace. It may have been broken. Microwave handle was broken. Steps to loft were a bit steep for us older folks. Tough road to get up to cabin. Overall we were pleased with our stay.”
