It is a small flat in a nice area within 20 minutes walking distance to the inner city of Oxford. A supermarket is just around the corner. Although it is equipped with all you might need and the beds are quite comfortable the overall look of the flat is pretty worn down. The ceiling in the bathroom has water stains (will be mold if they don’t do something to prevent it from happening), as have the joints. Also the door of the flat is only to be closed with an old easy to pick lock. If you are looking for safety thieves not the place. The windows were dirty and so were a lot of edges of the whole flat. The flat is equipped with an actually beautiful balcony but even here everything was covered with bird poo and spiderwebs. Not a place you want to have breakfast or have a glass of wine in the evening. Overall it okay but the owner should invest a small amount of money to fix the door, get it cleaned *properly* and look after the bathroom ceiling.

My stay ended up being much shorter than anticipated due to the airline strike but Dan was very supportive and accommodating. He responded quickly to any inquiries.His property is in the perfect location-walkable to several shops and restaurants as well as the train and bus station. There is a bus stop right down the street as well as a grocery store.The bed was super comfortable and the area was nice and quiet. The perfect place to relax after a long day.

The apartment is in need of some tlc, the front door handle came off, mould in the bathroom, the baths side panel has blown. Internal bathroom door held in in a crude manner and the light pull is tempremental. Dining room table leg wasn't attached - tea nealy went all over. A main road has been closed for over 2 years doubling the travel time - no info disclosed.

This was an excellent place to stay during my research trip. I just wish I'd booked earlier so i could have spent my whole time in Oxford here. Discovering the driving range a short walk away was an great surprise. Thank you!

Great location

Apartment was in a fantastic location for visiting Oxford and close to train station for London. Underground car park was a great facility. Communication with Daniel was excellent. The apartment itself was okay, comfortable beds and kitchen had all essential equipment. The bathroom had some mould so the fan may need replaced but the shower was good.

Ideal for what we wanted, just a few nights in Oxford. Host very helpful and extremely responsive to messages, garage parking was extremely useful, nice flat - generally quiet, ideal location with short stroll into Oxford, Waitrose very close by. Do have to back up comments from others re the settee though, but on the whole, this was ideal for us. I would go there again.

My colleague and I stayed here during a 4 day conference in Oxford. It was so nice to have a tranquil retreat to return to every day. We made full use of the kitchen which was well equipped. If you want a hotel-like place do not stay here. For us, it was perfect--a short walk from Oxford city centre, quiet, and backed up to a lovely creek and fields. (Of note... the seat cushions of the couch were constantly sliding off toward the floor. It was old but covered in a nice and clean blanket.)

Great stay

Great location in a quiet building and neighborhood. Easily walkable to city centre, train station and shops. Check in was easy and Daniel was helpful and responded quickly when we had a question. Listing photos were accurate. Two relatively minor issues during our stay: due to what looked like a home repair the bathroom door could not be opened fully and the sofa in the lounge had cushions which did not fit properly which made it uncomfortable to use and so limited our use of what was a lovely lounge. To be fair as these were not items that could be quickly resolved during our staywe did not raise them with the host at the time. We would recommend and with those issues corrected would give a five star.

Lovely, conveniently located

It was located in a lovely, convenient spot. We enjoyed watching the birds during breakfast. Nice walk into town. We had some problems getting in, because we didn't expect the keybox to be attached to the railings further away, but once we found it it was really easy.We expect there might be some damp issues, because there was a bit of mold in the window sills, but the apartment suited us perfectly. Would stay there again.

Beautiful location, cozy flat

First of all, this property overlooks gorgeous meadows, and in the morning you’ll wake up to birdsong and golden hour (there are blackout curtains though, should you need them). I saw so many varieties of birds, I almost bought a birding guide just for my stay. My favorite were the magpies. Daniel has provided everything you could need, and plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. The wifi is excellent and easy to use. It’s a short walk to a magnificent local pub. Daniel was extremely communicative and helpful, even when I left my raincoat behind! There were a couple of areas for improvement. The shower/bathtub did not get hot, just lukewarm. The place was functionally clean, but could use a deep clean. The shower walls/grout needed a good scrub, for instance, and there was lots of dust under the beds etc. Personally, I found the bed too firm for my comfort, but that may benefit some people. There were no check out instructions regarding tidying, but there are recycling instructions on the community board and a compost bin with a list of acceptable items that I followed. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would absolutely recommend the location. Thank you Daniel!

Oxford in October 2024

The apartment was exactly as described in the ad and everything was a very smooth experience. The location is within walking distance from the Oxford Station and the center yet it is located in a very quiet street. The host was very friendly and very responsive. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay in Oxford.
