“This house is huge and has lots of different indoor and outdoor gathering spaces so the kids and adults in our group of three families didn’t have to be on top of each other in one living space the whole time. Big firepit area and huge lawn were great, and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. There’s a place to buy fresh crabs, oysters, and shrimp very close by, and the house has everything you need for a crab night. The owner was incredibly responsive and kind.”

“This was a lovely property and the owners are very attentive and communicate well. The location is perfect for peaceful days/evenings enjoying the Bay, and it’s also a perfect launching spot for day trips to other attractions in the Eastern shore and Annapolis. I am very glad we stayed here. ”

“The Chesapeake Mansion was even better than it looks on the VRBO listing. Huge house but still managed to feel warm and inviting, never cold or stand-offish. We cooked big dinners for our group of 12 and the kitchen was perfect for that. Billiards room was fun, amazing bar room, also an exercise room. Walking out on the dock was always a treat. With 12 people, folks could always find a place to chill out when they wanted, but we also had big rooms where we could all get together for chatting and……

“Photos are accurate and it was great to have a dock to go out on. It was very peaceful. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch any fish or crabs in late August. House has a comfortable layout. Lots of outdoor games for kids. Communication with the host was easy and timely. Close to Cambridge lighthouse, RAR brewery, and blackwater nature reserve. NOTE: If you plan on cooking with your group, I’d recommend bringing some basics, knives and serving bowls. The kitchen did have good pans, pots and lids. ”

“The house was very clean and was great for our home base while visiting family in St. Michael’s. The owner was very response and friendly. The house included all basic amenities and then some! The owner really took the time and care preparing this place for guests. Downtown Cambridge is a short drive and a cute little town with shops and restaurants. We didn’t have a ton of time to explore downtown but plan to on our next stay! ”

“We loved this home. The location is excellent--close to areas like Easton and St Michael's, but out of the way and secluded. We loved sitting on the lawn by the Dixon Creek and watching the sunset. House is well stocked, and wifi is strong--supported 3 people who had to work. Highly recommend this beautiful home.”
