“Delighted with my stay! Simple but very quiet & clean single en-suite room (No.3 on 1st floor) overlooking the rear garden. Nice selection of breakfast options, pleasant manager(s) with excellent & speedy communication, parking outside, & the ‘Old Town’ within walking distance. Thanks Duncan & Mei: you’ll be my first choice the next time I visit. ”
“Excellent and friendly welcome, room was checked over before giving us the keys, answered our questions (regarding public transport to Edinburgh).
Good night’s sleep, comfortable and quiet.
Good continental breakfast in the morning was good, with good service, option of coffees which where brought to the table.
Would recommend this hotel, not large but good.”
“I reserved the room for my friend, and I accompanied him to depart to the hotel, as the manager will gave us the password via email then we can enter the hotel ourselves. Overall, he said all are fine except his room is located at the ground floor and he was dare not to open the window for fear that someone could climb into the room easily, however, there was no air-conditioning, which made him feel a bit inconvenient. ”
“Though it doesn't locate in city center, bus is convenient to access.
Room is well maintained and you can find good taste of owner from decoration. Owner is hospitality and helpful. It is a great experience of stay in Edinburgh. ”
“We really enjoyed our stay with Alan and Alison (and Mr Tom). The room was the perfect size for us, with a modern bathroom, plenty of closet space, and a comfy bed. The breakfast options worked well for us, with Alan cooking breakfast items as requested. Several buses stop almost at the front door of the property; it was straightforward to get almost anywhere in the city. There were several restaurants and grocery stores a 10-15 walk from the B&B (also accessible by bus). We’d happily stay there……
“My main concern was that the HVAC system was not working well. We were in a bit of a heat wave and the AC was not working very well. Both the quantity & quality of air.
Love that the train station was literally across the street.”
“This is a top place to stay the night or a couple . Room was really nice amd clean and the pub downstairs is just brilliant. Keep you reading the walls for hours with historic bits and bobs.”
“It's a little bit far when you walk form train station to hotel , but you can take a bus. Hotel just near the bus stop.
Hotel staff is friendly and kindly to introduce the sightseeing information about the town. Living in the hotel is comfortable, and the English breakfast is good.”
"There is a little disappointed for living this hotel.
1)the water from the shower head is very weak and one of the shower
head was not working.
2)There was very nosie in
the morning.
3)The view from the windows is very bad.
