“Kim and James’s cottage was the perfect home base for exploring Big Island’s trails and beaches. Waking up to breakfast with an ocean view and the Pacific breeze was a highlight. The place was spotless, nearly insect-free, and stayed cool enough without AC. It’s ideal for two or three people. The kitchen is simple but has everything you need to cook your own meals, and there are plenty of nearby spots with great local food. James welcomed us personally and was always ready to help, which made us……

“This property is special because of the amazing abundance of plants and flowers on the property, including a river and waterfall!! The night was a symphony of sounds, birds and frogs at night. We also enjoyed the communual netted gazebo on the patio with fairy lights. There is internet, but no cell service meant we didn't spend time on the phone, and why would we in this paradise :) ”

“We had a relaxing stay at the View House. It's located close to Honoka'a to get goods, if needed, and also convenient to explore Waipi'o Valley. The house and grounds are as advertised. We took advantage of all of the fresh fruit available. Lots of orange juice and lemonade during our stay! The breeeze coming off the ocean is lovely. ”
