Beautiful views with absolute privacy. The renovation is beautiful and the basement is in progress yet didn’t take away from the beautiful property and outdoor private lake with access to paddle boards and outdoor jacuzzi. Great amenities, price was reasonable for what you received. Kitchen was excellent with a view! Thank you for the privilege of staying!

It was our second time staying at this home and we loved it! From the last time we were here you could see renovations throughout the house such as brand new outdoor deck, the owners do take care of this home! We had extra couple with us this time around and everyone was comfortable in this home. The peaceful lake surroundings, close proximity to the beach and steamy hot tub keep us coming back! Absolutely recommend this gem!

Celebration of life

Overall beautiful property! House was lovely and the lake was wonderful. We hired a personal chef who was also excellent. Only a couple of suggestions: 1) the house seemed very warm in the afternoons and no way to make it cooler even when opening windows. 2) The refrigerator did not make ice or water. Would have been good to know before arrival. 3) There were only paddle boards for water toys.

Great for the entire family

Nice place, fishing was Awesome, water access well thought out and safe for all. Steep slope from house to water. Nice remodel but needs some finish trim and floor trim at back bedroom did not cover gap in floor doorway, catching your feet as you walk through. Doors on restrooms squeak

Overall a Good Stay

Our stay at the Lake House was pleasant. The home comfortably fit our party of 7. It rained most of the time we were there, but we entertained ourselves with the pool table, hot tub, and board games we brought. The pellet fire place in the living room made it nice and cozy. The kitchen was huge and adequately stocked. The house itself was a quick drive to the beach. We also went to Cape Lookout State Park for a hike one of the days. The biggest thing we would want others to know about the house: there was no cell phone service at all; our group had Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. On top of that, the internet connection was not working very well; most of us could not get on the provided WIFI. (It wouldn't even load a page on Google) This wouldn't necessarily be a problem for a personal gateway trip, but since it was a work trip, it was frustrating at times.

Critique

Inside the property was sprawling so it did accommodate our group of 9 nicely. we found that the kitchen was not adequately equipped . There were not enough glasses, wish there had been more bowls, etc The pool table was missing its balls and although the host came mid vacation to replace them, the mechanism inside the table failed to release them so no playing pool, jets were not operating on the hot tub, horse shoes were missing ( host did come on day three to replace them. Windows on the house were filled with spider webs and the outside of the home really had no curb appeal. Also the outside deck was a sight for sore eyes as was the outside furniture. Other then that i can’t complain, large kitchen was nice, bedrooms and bathrooms were nice, lots of nice natural light, no fish were caught, not even a nibble. Liked access to kayaks and paddle boards

Great place with some property management issues

Great place! Could not be more perfect for a family trip with an essentially private lake, canoe, foosball and ping pong. It's even better than it looks! However, we did catch a mouse the first night and asked the management for traps which they promised but did not deliver. Then the next morning the water main backed up. No cell service, so told them to communicate through the app or email but they kept calling instead. Every person I talked to (including the man that came out to check the plumbing issue) was very nice but overall communication was frustrating and when I gave feedback after the stay they gave a token discount but did not really engage about the experience. Would stay there again, but would hope that communication improves.

Working Retreat

What a great place for our executive retreat. The house was large enough for all our guests to have their own bedrooms and plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was excellent so that several could work together to prepare meals. So many activities to do on property made this a perfect choice.

Beautiful, seculded home with gorgeous scenery

The i side of the home was beautifully done. The kitchen was perfect for larger groups. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. The men enjoyed fishing while the children enjoyed swimming and floating.

The lake house

The lake house was a little slice of heaven. The older home was incredibly remodeled, the photos are as advertised. While the house is great, the best part is the outdoors. So much space for activities, the beach access to the lake makes it so easy to hop on a paddle board to tool around, and the fishing is so fun. Will definitely look to this spot again for another large family excursion.
