Worst Hotel Experience – Overbooked, Unapologetic, and Unacceptable.
We booked a deluxe lake view room well in advance, but upon arrival, we were told the hotel had overbooked and that our room was no longer available. Instead of honoring our reservation, we were forced to accept a downgraded room with no view, without any compensation, apology, or even basic courtesy from the staff.
To make matters worse, the staff behaved as if they were doing us a favor by providing a rollaway bed, something that was already included in our original booking for 5 people. It was absolutely ridiculous and condescending.
They promised to provide a written statement confirming the room change the next morning, unsurprisingly, that never happened. Even basic services like drinking water were unavailable in the room, and staff seemed completely indifferent to our repeated requests.
This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We were left feeling helpless and cheated. The least they could do is offer a full refund, given that the entire situation was caused by their own mismanagement. It’s completely unfair that we were the ones expected to “adjust” for their mistake.
