This hotel was average, nothing bad and nothing amazing. The staff are attentive which is nice, but overall an average hotel. Can hear all the movement of the room above and even hear their conversations, making it challenging to sleep. Great walkable location. Outdoor area was nice, but lots of children, will probably stick to adult only property.

The Dunes is a nice, affordable and no frills option for downtown Palm Springs. Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Rooms are pretty spacious though the ADA shower was very small. There are some nice communal areas with cornhole and other games. Complimentary coffee and snacks are offered in the morning. Great value for the price - recommend!

A perfectly fine motel - good location, quiet and a nice pool area. The rooms are very dark and have no storage so we had to live out of our suitcases. The common areas are nice but there is no breakfast, cafe or restaurant. You can just get coffee in the foyer. The pool area was quiet and the daybeds are nice. No wow factor at all though. Room servicing was patchy - you have to text for everything (pool towels, room servicing) and twice they didn’t come even after we’d texted. Fine for 1 or 2 night stay if you’re looking for a decent, unexciting motel with very basic services.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. I liked the decor and large size of the room. The bed was really comfortable. The products in the bathroom were very good. The cable TV was good, but I wish it had been a smart TV. The room was well equipped with a refrigerator, iron and ironing board; but it did not have a safe. I thought I was going to hate the room entry door with a code instead of a card, but I preferred it. You don’t have worry about forgetting a key card; I memorized my room code. Very easy getting around the property.

I stayed one night at this hotel. The price was very affordable. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Parking is free and there are bikes available to use at no additional cost. We used the bikes for a morning ride around the downtown area. The pool area was nice with plenty of chairs. The location is perfect for walking to downtown shops and restaurants.

Nice pool and communal areas with large hot tub, cornhole and ping pong. Very nice atmosphere around the pool with ample seating, shade, and nice soft music. The hotel room was small and a bit lacking in general comfort and aesthetics (for example, broken handle on refrigerator, dried streaks of dripping paint on the back of the bathroom door, window AC unit made it cold for the person sleeping closest to the unit and warm for others). Easy, free parking. Fresh fruit in the lobby was nice. Location is good for the price, on the end of the main street. Overall, we liked our stay at The Dunes except we didn't love the room itself.

This is a great place to stay, with easy access to SO much in Palm Springs! It’s a vintage Motel, and the staff is extremely hard working and diligent in keeping it tidy and welcoming. It’s dog friendly, although I must say that if you do bring your dog make sure it does not yip and scream bark for hours on end like SOMEONE’S dog did here! Lovely pool, delightful restaurants nearby.

Central location to downtown, easy surface parking, friendly check-in staff, small coffee & drinks in the morning and cost per night compared to other hotels nearby. One exception is the noisy outdated AC unit coming on & off during the night that could be improved.
