Be aware that this is a *budget* option, and the location and rooms reflect that! It is an odd spot to get to, down a couple of residential alleys, although we never felt unsafe. The building itself is cute, with a nice rooftop and second level kitchen.
We were there in early May and it was a little cooler than other times, which was a godsend because our room (#8) had NO windows and just a fan. (I don’t thin the rooms with windows had screens.) The only light was the overhead, nothing bedside, though there were a decent number of outlets. The bathroom is small, and they put out little packets of shampoo, etc. Hot water was good.
Depending on what you’re used to, this could be a step up from a hostel or down from a spendier place. We probably wouldn’t return, but it definitely wasn’t terrible and the people were great, as are most Guatemalans. 🙂
