Pros- Location, beach access, pool, responsive staff. Cons- Suites are old and feel dirty. Carpet has damage. Stove and fridge are rusted. Bed skirts are damaged. Door lock didn’t feel super secure. Also, we did have a few maintenance issues upon checkin that the staff were prompt in addressing.

You could tell this was an older property, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Also, it was very quiet. At first, we weren’t crazy they put us on the first floor, but after checking in; it was nice to just walk out your door and be on the beach! Overall, it was a very good experience.

Everything was very clean. The staff does a fantastic job keeping all of the common areas in near perfect condition. Any By The Sea resort has always been this way. Nice place for small families.

Showed picture of “modern” mid rise tower but put us in old 2 story hotel building across the street. Total surprise. Place is not terrible but certainly not as expected. You need to have therapist pictures of both buildings or drop from Expedia.

The view and access to the beach were amazing. Parking is a pain if you have an oceanview room because you have to park across the street and cross a pretty busy road. I love that you can see and hear the ocean from the pool and hot tub. Very family friendly. The amenities (gift shop, snack bar, outdoor tiki bar) were never staffed, so you have to grab the one person at the front desk to help you (who usually has a line of people they are already helping). Staff wasnt outright rude but also not very friendly. The room was clean and had the basics of what you need, comfortable bed, microwave, full size fridge, iron and ironing board,hair dryer, coffeemaker, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash. I would stay here again just for the view and access to the beach for the price. You're getting a clean, pretty basic room with an excellent view.

Pool open 24 hours which was very convenient and nice. It was also nice using the grill which are gas and no coal needed. Easy beach access. Hotel rooms are nice with a nice balcony view.

I was disappointed because they don’t serve breakfast. If I’m paying to stay at a RESORT I expect them to serve their guest breakfast. Other than that it was okay.

Was a great stay very short walk to get on the beach, not far from a grocery store, was plenty of shops. I would stay there again each time I came to Panama!

I had originally saved one of their rooms to my favorites, but when I booked, I somehow ended up with a room across the street. I didn’t mind not having the ocean view, but the room I received was very different from what I was expecting. The bathroom was extremely small—changing in there was nearly impossible. The beds were uncomfortable and had visible stains, which was disappointing. I also tried calling multiple times before the trip with some questions, but each time I was on hold for over 10 minutes, even when listed as first in line and ended up hanging up each time. I understand it’s the busy season, but it was frustrating not being able to reach anyone until we arrived. Even then, check-in took a while due to issues with a new system they were learning. To be fair, the staff wasn’t rude, but the experience just didn’t match what was advertised in the photos or reviews. If you’re booking here, be sure to double-check exactly which room you’re reserving—it makes a big difference. I did try to upgrade but they didn’t have anything available and then I asked what the cancellation fee was- but at that point might as well just stay and chalk it up as a lesson learned.

It was a lot smaller than I expected the pictures make it look bigger and the pictures make it look like the umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach come with the hotel but they do not. You have to rent them for $40 a day that was disappointing but other than that, I enjoyed my stay the staff was great And the hot tub was amazing!
