Nice hotel, very good restaurant, friendly, professional staff. BUT one small lift is woefully inadequate for a property of this size (especially since many people from outside the hotel use it to access the restaurant and “reef top” bar). On more than one occasion we gave up waiting for the lift and used the stairs, which of course is not possible with luggage. I’m sure that we aren’t the first people to comment about the lift!

This boutique hotel has everything. It is close to the ferry and within walking distance to shopping and the market. The staff is quite helpful. There is a restaurant on premise and a rooftop bar that offers a view of the harbor and a nice menu with exceptional pizza and other bites. We stayed here twice during our Tahiti trip and will definitely stay again.

This is an exceptional boutique hotel, located right across from the Papeete ferry port. Plenty of interesting sighs to see from here (including an excursion to Pointe Venus or a city tour). Lots of cool restos and shopping before you head out into the islands. Nils Winter, the Concierge, is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. You will definitely enjoy your time in spectacular French Polynesia with your home base at the Kon Tiki! Highly recommended!

Stayed one night .... from 7pm to 4am (off to the airport). Room was very nice and the bar on the roof was great. Front office arranged to have an taxi there at 4:30am which made getting to the airport easy. Great location - very close to ferry dock and food trucks and restaurants.

Such a great spot! Room was fantastic, clean and well designed, Roof top bar is worth booking a table at. Bar next door goes till late but it’s well managed with double doors to muffle the sound. Definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel Kon Tiki is in a prime area if you want to walk to town or take a ferry. The have a wonderful restaurant and rooftop bar. The negative is the noise from the bar on the street level and the follow through with requests. Such as our shampoo and body wash wasn’t working in the shower and asked for clean towels which came late in the evening. Staff was helpful but some difficulty with English. All in all I would stay here again!

Perfect boutique hotel for transit or even to stay for more nights in Tahiti. My husband and I stayed just for one night and it was very convenient. Walk distance from many restaurants, shops and the market. The ferry station to the other islands is located across the road. The hotel is very clean and equipped with a full kitchen. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Tahiti.

Nils (the Concierge) is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about sharing travel ideas and options with clients. Ask him to set you up for an island tour by van with the amazing Ruth! This is an awesome hotel, located right across from the ferry port. Highly recommendable!
