This is a lovely hotel, well located in Paris. It has a couple of odd elements, basically since it was created in a former "hôtel particulier", i.e., a private home of a wealthy family, or at least I presume so. My room (beautifully renovated inside) was on the 2nd floor, up a narrow winding staircase. I presume it was originally part of the servants' quarters, across a small courtyard from the reception area. This was ok for me, but if a potential client were disabled in any way, climbing those stairs would be difficult or impossible. I guess I didn't check the property description carefully enough.
I think that the main part of the building has an elevator to the upper floor rooms, but you'd have to be sure to request that area.
One thing that I noticed in this hotel and the also lovely one I stayed at in Lyon is that there are no grab bars in the bath/shower area. The floor of the bathtub was slippery, and no bath mat was provided for security. So, for seniors, this could present problems.
The breakfast was ok. I took the buffet rather than the Continental option. The service was very nice, both for breakfast and at reception.
This is why I didn't give a five-star overall review.
