The room was small, older tiled floors but they were clean. Furniture dated but it was advertised as found in bygone days. I found the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and newly renovated. Loved the shower. Our room had a kettle and tea bags. We arrived to a small bottle of wine as a gift. There was a small courtyard and guests often brought croissants, cheese and wine from shops around the corner and ate there. Breakfast was great. There were eggs you could boil and time yourself, ham, yogurt, cereals, breads, croissants, jams, teas, various coffees, and other items. I appreciated the gluten free bread. We were able to walk to the Bastille (2 blocks) and it was a 30 minute walk to Notre Dame. Metro was close by, as was bus service. Lots of reasonably priced cafes and restaurants within a block or two. A local vibrant neighbourhood so one had the feeling they were definitely in Paris.
