We enjoyed our stay at the Chalgrin Hotel,Paris, location good, short distance from The Arc do Triomph and the metro.Plenty of restaurants near by,but nothing special...
Our room was a good size, with 3 small balconies, although I did upgrade the room ,to the deluxe which was worth it for our 5 night stay. The shower was great, and we liked the double sinks..Good sz bed and nice bed linen.
Unfortunately the breakfast was quite poor. For a 4* hotel we have experienced a lot better in Europe.I understand maybe in France they don't have the same choices that visiters from UK are used too..
The breakfast was just plain cereals, the usual croissants, and choc petite pain. The fruit salad was poor and there was no other fruit, apart from a bowl of oranges that was there for the whole 5 days.A couple for days there was a nice apple tart and one day some macarons. The hot voices were scrambled eggs and quiche in small dishes. And then selection of yogurts, few cheeses and sliced meats. The toaster didn't work for 2 days..The choices didn't change for 5 nights we were there. As I said we were disappointed for a 4* hotel.,especially the fruit selection,I actually bought my self some strawberries and peaches from a shop just around the corner..
The staff on reception were always helpful, and the hotel has a boutique feel about it.
This hotel doesn't have its own restaurant for lunch or dinner,so you need to go out for your other meals, just a short walk around the corner to local restaurants,.
