As the only hotel in Hackettstown, I've stayed here several times during my kid's time at Centenary University. It was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, with one trip having uncleaned vomit in the hotel elevator the entire stay. However, the hotel has significantly improved, and the last two trips have been pleasant, with clean rooms and updated bedding. Hotel staff is friendly and courteous, the beds are comfortable, and the location is convenient.

Ceiling had water stains, floor was cracked, bathroom light fixture was barely hanging on the wall. There was a hole in the wall by the toilet. The room was freezing when we first got there. Vending machines are out of order, no carpeting in the room. And I had to ask for toilet paper.

My traveling companion and I stayed 2 nights to attend a nearby event. This hotel was clean and well-maintained, very quiet, and close to many restaurants. Bed was perfect for me and I slept well. Buffet breakfast included was typical, with all carbs, and we supplemented with stuff we brought plus sandwiches at Dunkin. Communication with hotel (through Expedia messaging) could have been better. Overall, very positive!

The hotel was noisy, and the neighbor was slamming the door all night, so it made it impossible to sleep. The iron didn’t work, there was no shampoo or conditioner, and there were a little packets of soap that were open, the towels were dirty. There was duct tape, holding pieces of the elevator moulding on, and the breakfast was a joke. There were some tiny quarter size muffins. Cereal that was in a plastic container, and a few yogurts in a mini fridge. We left exhausted because we did not sleep and had to go eat somewhere else because there wasn’t any actual food to eat. I will never stay at this hotel again.

I was pleasantly surprised for the price: I can’t speak for safety but I didn’t experience anything distinct: I heard loud voices outside my room a couple times but at reasonable hours so that could be anywhere 🙏 I saw a couple of suspicious guests but again, no problems …. Not many cars in the pking lot that Sunday night but it’s post new year in January so not popular time to travel..
