“Great location ”

“We were a group of 8, 4 adults 4kids. Bedroom layouts worked great. Living area away from bedrooms. The house was really warm. The mountain and sea view was my main reason for choosing to stay here as I grew up with the exact view, but a km up the road.”

“An old "dog friendly" cottage that has been modernized with double glazed windows, heat pump, new appliances (fridge, microwave, stove, tv ....). Very comfortable stay. It is opposite the boat launch and they launch boats from 4:00 am so take some earplugs. Good value for money.”

“Short stay in Kaikōura to go whale watching. It didn’t disappoint.! Barnacle Bills was ideal for our stay. Well appointed, clean and just a very short drive to the sea. Really good couple of days..”

“We really enjoyed the upstairs living of the property. It was modern, beautifully presented and spotless. The huge kitchen area was great. The lift was fantastic if you had a wheelchair which most places don’t cater for. We weren’t expecting to stay in a converted garage however as it didn’t mention that anywhere on the booking. The second night I had a centipede crawling on my chest through the night so I probably wouldn’t recommend that room for young children. I would definitely……

“Lovely wee home, plenty of room for our 4wd and small boat. Had intended to take our dog too but didnt in the end, so pet friendly. Close stroll to the beach. Nice, quiet area.Would def recommend.”
