Beautiful and peaceful

The cabin was beautiful, well equipped and smelled great. We loved the hammocks and the outdoor fireplace next to the stream and pond. It was everything we were hoping it would be! You will not be disappointed with this cabin rental.

The Perfect Getaway

We happened to plan our trip for right after Hurricane Helene when the parks were closed, but this property really made up for it! It is as good or better than the pictures, with short hikes and an awesome outdoor fireplace. Wonderful hosts, great for kids, pet friendly - 5 stars.

Perfect retreat

Perfect location, secluded private. The hot tub was a wonderful touch so glad we could bring our dog. We will definitely come back.

Family Retreat

This location is perfect for families wanting to experience DuPont State Forest or Pisgah Forest along with Brevard but wanting a quiet, secluded place to back to after. Property was clean and well appointed!

Perfect getaway is correct!

Perfect spot for a few days away after Christmas. Clean, spacious, and well appointed cabin! Close to great hiking and all the area has to offer. Easy check in, great communication with the owner, and no problems getting there. Already planning a trip back in the summer so we can enjoy a different season worth of fun!

Amazing Property!

I can't say enough about our stay here! Absolutely gorgeous home, had everything we needed, super clean and located within 25 minutes of all the trails we wanted to hike. Our first day we hiked Triple Falls and had lunch at Square Root (pet friendly too). Day 2 was Looking Glass Trailhead, grilled steaks and s'mores by the outdoor fireplace. The hot tub was perfect for sore muscles at the end of the day. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful country cabin

A really lovely, peaceful place. Well-stocked. Super gracious owner/hosts. The outdoor setting is great - places to relax, enjoy the pond, feed the fish, soak in the hot tub, hike, and more. Just the best. We will return for sure.

PLEASE don’t make us leave!!!

This was such a wonderful few days at the cabin! A stress free few days with my son before school returns and time with my mom. Never did we feel “too remote” or unsettled being just women. With a 14 year old, we also couldn’t be too far from a grocery store and town (bottomless pit). VERY ACCESSIBLE! 15-20 mins from anything we needed (hiking, biking, food). We were 15 mins from DuPont Forest for the day. The cabin is very tidy and clean, and my mother is a germaphobe! No animal smell at all- since this is a dog friendly spot. All the details have been thought out for you. The hot tub was SUPER CLEAN. No sand or grit or mildew. I’m always a little weary of public tubs. We did some fishing and had fresh trout dinner over the campfire with lemon— delish! Taught my son how to clean a fish. We made lots of memories and already planning our return! Wish we didn’t have to leave- so glad we found this charming spot! We will be seeing you soon!!

Very relaxing!

We had an awsome stay at Robert and Stephanie's home. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We loved the seclusion but didn't feel like we were too remote. It was the oerfect balance. We will definitely be back!

Amazing!!

We had a wonderful time at Peaceful Getaway! The cabin and property are so beautiful and truly special. There is so much to do right on property! We enjoyed hiking the trails, feeding the fish, roasting marshmallows at night, and our kids absolutely loved the rope swing! The cabin was very clean, well organized, and had everything we needed. Robert and Stefanie were delightful to work with and very helpful. We made wonderful memories at Peaceful Getaway and can’t wait to return!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This property is adorable! The house is beautifully updated and well stocked with everything we needed for a great family weekend. It sits on beautiful land with a perfect spot for an evening fire and s’mores. We hiked in nearby DuPont National Forest so the location was perfect too! We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful setting and great host!

This was my best VRBO experience. The two main things I would emphasize about this rental are the property’s setting and the host. I got turned around the first time I went to the property. It was dark and I ended up getting my truck stuck. I called Robert and he was there to help me within five minutes. He had a neighbor with a tractor on his way within 10 minutes, but he was able to figure out a way to get my truck unstuck by himself. He was incredibly gracious about the entire episode. Thank you, Robert! Beyond that, I could tell that it is extremely important to him that his guests are well taken care of. The house is stocked with everything you need, and the incredible property surrounding the house is meticulously cared for. If you want to be off by yourself, this is the property for you! You have an extremely large acreage to yourself without any visible neighbors. It’s large enough that he has approximately half a mile of private trails. So beautiful!!

Peaceful Getaway!

Just as the cabin is named, it truly is a PEACEFUL GETAWAY! If you are looking for a private, well-appointed property that is like a resort in itself all to yourself, look no further! The cabin is immaculate and very beautiful. The communication was superb and the owners went above and beyond with special touches to make sure our stay was even more enjoyable than expected. Due to our limited time away, we were not able to enjoy all that the property and area had to offer and with that, my husband and I look forward to the possibility of returning for another fantastic and peaceful getaway. Perfect for a couple or small family…

This was a great kick off to our vacation. Just the two of us and our dog. The house was easily one of the cleanest places we have stayed. The owners take pride and it’s clear which we really appreciated. The surrounding property was as beautiful as it was private. Our dog loved it! There is a fenced in area off the hot tub so you can keep an eye on your dog which was a thoughtful touch. Not a criticism just a note for future renters. Wi-Fi is spotty so of course don’t stay here for work/emails. Bring some cash as well. The trout in the pond are unbelievably beautiful but if you want to fish bring some cash as there is a charge (rightfully so). After the initial firewood that is a charge as well. Also bring cash for the cleaning crew tip. Would absolutely stay here again, thank you for having us!

Serenity in the Mountains

My family of four had an absolutely wonderful experience during our Thanksgiving trip/stay. The cabin was extremely clean and well-kept. The trails surrounding the cabin were absolutely wonderful to explore with our children (9 and 11 years of age). The location is ideal as well - Pisgah Forest, DuPont, etc. We were able to visit several landmarks which we absolutely adore during our stay. The children enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s'mores as well. The pond add to the beauty of the surrounding area. I was also able to make it the gym each morning - Planet Fitness - 30min drive, with the added option of Workout Anytime Brevard 15mins or so away. Needless to say, we would visit this cabin again and highly recommend to others seeking a peaceful/serene experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at "Peaceful Getaway". Beautiful cabin - clean and well stocked. The property is so peaceful - with a pond and fountain, a fire pit, and two beautiful hammocks where you can take a little siesta. We were traveling with our dog - and Robert and Stefanie were SUPER accommodating and helpful. The enclosed dog run was an extra bonus that made life easier - especially at night. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Wonderful

Even though it rained 2 out of the 3 days we were there, we had a wonderful time at the very close national forests swimming in the waterfalls. Then we spent rainy days exploring the on-site trails, feeding the fish, swinging on the swing, and lounging in the hot tub. Even the kids had a really great time playing all the board games, sleeping in, and playing in the mud. All the thoughtful kitchen items (like a cup or so of flour and non stick spray) were super well thought-out and totally appreciated. We had a great time!
