“We rented the house for a weekend for a high school track meet. It was great to have the space for 4 adults and 4 teens. We especially appreciated the large kitchen and dining room as we prepared all of our meals at the house. The location was ideal in downtown Fortuna, close to Fortuna High School. The house was well-stocked and clean. Would definitely stay again. I would note that 2 of the beds appear to be double beds instead of Queen-sized.”

“The property is exactly as advertised on the listing. It’s very secluded and quiet. It was the perfect place to spend a quiet relaxing weekend with my wife. The redwoods are a 10 minute drive away and we got some great hiking in. There is a town close by but it’s tiny and doesn’t have much for services do pack appropriately. The owner is very nice and responsive to messages. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. ”

“I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. The one draw back was booking through VRBO. I was not able to contact the hostess directly and wasn't sure how to check in. It is best to make reservations by directly calling them. “Great property up in the trees with a fantastic view. Had a small hiccup in the WiFi and Marissa jumped in and saved the day. Very quick response. Beds were sooooo comfortable and ** bonus** there’s an air conditioning unit in each room. Kept us all at the perfect temp. Do wish the master had a king instead of a queen, there is plenty of room for it.Didn’t use the sauna but it looked really cute and rustic. Outside furniture could use some thicker cushions but I’m just getting picky. The……
