The Good: the house is lovely and the property is beautiful. It is so large, they need to give a map so you don't think you are trespassing into the neighbor's yard. Plus the water out of the tap is the best tasting drinking water. The Average: For such a great kitchen, it wasn't well stocked. We went to the dollar store and bought some staples. Everything used for outside needed a good scrubbing. Chairs, floaties, etc. The lawn was long when we got there and never mowed. The "beach" this year is all muck and overgrown weeds. It's not for the squeamish, but if you are used to Minnesota lakes, just swim past the lily pads to the clear water.The Bad: It is not as advertised. There are 2 baths with showers, not 3. The hammocks, croquet set, boat were all missing. The "swimming hole" is DANGEROUS. Do not let children go to the east dock alone. The water is crystal clear and ankle deep, so it looks great, but there are sink holes on either side of the dock. Immobilized me and almost drowned my dog. Very scary.Communication was very hit and miss when we brought up issues. Some questions got answered, and some were ignored entirely.

Just what we needed

My husband and i stayed here with our six children ranging in ages of 4 months to 15 years old. My sister and brother joined us and there was more than enough space inside and out to keep everyone happy. The kids made fishing poles out of twigs and line and were able to catch fish off the dock every day! Our 3 year old couldnt get enough of the massive swing that hung high from the tree branches. Canoeing and kayaking in the crystal clear waters was so relaxing and we could see the fish and snapping turtle off the side as we paddled our way along the edge of the water. Everyone had a great time and found it so hard to leave. It was a relaxing vacation for everyone!

Location was great neighbor was grumpy

Our stay was great. Had a little trouble with the pontoon we fix that so I didn’t fill the gas can.

Perfect getaway spot to relax and recharge

WOW! This was exactly what the family needed - fun on the lake, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, shooting stars and calling loons. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The lake toys filled the daytime, and evening sunsets followed by s'mores by the fire capped each perfect day. Our family had the entire lake to ourselves all week. A great summer location that we will never forget. Would like to put this on our list next year, or even consider a fall or winter get away...

Private location with lots of space for kids and dog to run!

We had a very nice stay at the property. It was immaculate when we arrived. Listing of things provided was accurate, there was even a toy closet that our kiddos enjoyed! It’s a very large property and the dog LOVED all the space outside to run. We didn’t see anyone else the whole weekend even with neighbors reasonably close. The cabin was actually larger than it appeared in photos and carpet was newer and clean. In general just a slightly older space, so although the inside was in a good state, some things are just a little run down. Beds weren’t super comfy but they were fine for the week. The lake is small as expected but fine for fishing and for kayaking. Easy drive to Crosslake.

Family up north trip

This was a really nice property with great amenities. The lake is small and very quiet but does have access to larger lakes nearby. The amenities were great! Jet ski, pontoon, canoe, kayak, awesome Bunn coffee maker. The bedroom layout would work great for 2 couples and their kids. Lots of space to move around. Small sandy beach was great for our little kiddos, age 3 and under.

Disappointed, and disgusted

The propert was picturesque, however it was not clean and the rental process could be smoother. We completed our stay and were promptly accused of damage that we were not responsible for. The property manager got a little short with me when I explained that the damage we were accused of existed when we arrived and part of why we felt the property wasn’t very clean. As a whole I don’t think I will ever rent a property like this ever again. The whole experience has left me feeling very vulnerable to accusations by people who want to have their property paid for by others and want innocent folks to bear the cost of repairs of damage they aren’t responsible for. Further, Upon stripping the beds at the end of our stay we discovered a blood stain on one of the mattresses.. I don’t necessarily hold the owners responsible as much as The property management company.
