After a fun day of skiing, swimming or exploring everything Vermont has to offer, relax in the spacious new outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake all the while enjoying gorgeous views of the lake and alpine mountains! Then look forward to fine dining in one of many excellent restaurants in Manchester or BBQing on the brand new patio - the choice is yours!

After dinner go to the patio with its built in fire pit to roast marshmallows with kids, or fire up the wood burning stove and enjoy your companions by the fire.

The beautiful town of Peru

The house is located on a private secluded 11 acre wooded estate in the picturesque village of Peru, Vermont in the middle of Green Mountain National Forest.

In the winter enjoy skiing in nearby resorts of Bromley, Magic, Stratton and Okemo. Bromley Mountain, only 5 minutes away, is great for kids as well as for novice and intermediate skiers. It is so close, you can come back to the house for lunch and then back to the mountain. Two excellent x-country skiing centers, Wild Wings and Viking Nordic, are less than 10 minutes away. There are also options for snowmobiling.

If this is not enough, Manchester and its surrounding areas offer several unique and unforgettable sleigh ride experiences, including dogsledding.

In the summer enjoy numerous hiking or cycling opportunities nearby. Bromley Sun Mountain Summer Park offers family adventures for the whole day of fun including New England’s longest zipline, Vermont’s longest water-slide raft ride, America’s longest triple-track Alpine Slide, climbing walls, mini-golf and much more.

An Appalachian Trail Entrance is only a 5 minute drive from the house.

The historic town of Manchester is only 15 minutes away. There you can enjoy many fine restaurants. You may also visit the highly rated Equinox Golf Resort and Spa in the center of town which offers a wide range of activities:

Land Rover Experience Driving School offers full day of off-road driving instructions on the 80 acre purpose built course.

Everything we could ask for & a beautiful view! Just as pictured! We stayed with our kids & 4 grandkids (ages 6 mo to 3 years old) & none of us wanted to go home! Conveniently located with a short drive to restaurants & shopping. Arrived at the perfect time to see all the beautiful fall colors! Would definitely rent again! We had lovely time at the property. We celebrated a special birthday with eleven adults and five children, had s'mores at the fire pit and a dance party in the basement area. Young adults liked being able to work out and the infrared sauna was wonderful! We paddle boarded and kayaked around in the lake/pond. Great place for a reunion!

This house is georgous is all I can say. It is huge to accommodate lots of people to be comfortable. It has everything you need to make a vacation tremendous and the host was super responsibe. I can't say enough about this property and host. I will definitely return. Our group of 11 loved it.

The house was great, all the amenities were as described (plus an extra kayak and a treadmill!). We enjoyed the lake, the fire pit, grills, hot tub especially, the large kitchen, etc. Having room for everyone was great. We could have used a couple of extra chairs in the dining room and some additional hand towels and utensils but overall we had a great vacation.

This house comfortably fit our family of 12 people which included kids, adults, and grandparents. Kayaking on the pond was lots of fun especially for this kids, and they also loved making s'mores at the fire pit. The house was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The location is also great...minutes away from Bromley mountain (kids loved the Alpine slide and treetop adventures). It's also close to Manchester where our family did a lot of shopping. The owner (Patrick) was friendly and prompt in his responses to any questions. He also provided a great list of local activities to consider. We would definitely consider coming back in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The house is spacious and easily handled our family of 10. The variety of equipment provided delighted the kids, especially the hot tub. Patrick was very responsive to questions both before and during our stay. The lake is private and peaceful which we found attractive and well-suited to the kids. Adults seeking longer kayak outings might prefer a larger lake.

This whole weekend was perfect and so much of it had to do with this house! There were 12 of us and it was so spacious and everyone was able to have their own room and space. It was cozy and clean and was in such a beautiful setting. Pat was very communicative and helpful and welcoming. We would absolutely rent again!

This was a perfect place for our families to spend a summer week. The house was big enough for the 10 of us, even though we had to move some chairs around to fit us all at the same table. Patrick answered all my questions before the trip, checked in a couple of times (via text) during our stay to make sure all was ok and there was someone in the area to contact should we have needed anything. This was one of the best stocked houses I have rented - plenty of tableware and cooking items, paper towels, TP, soap and shampoo, towels and blankets. The small lake was a wonderful to kayak in the provided kayaks. Loved cooking s'mores around the fire pit, several of us used the in home gym, the basement refrig was nice for beverage overflow and the hot tub was an added bonus! Would consider renting this property again if we find ourselves up that way. Great location to several mountains for skiing in the winter!

My friends and I loved staying in Peru. There's a lot to do in the surrounding towns and Pat's house was great. It has an awesome hot tub and a great fire pit area. The house was clean and Pat was easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great trip to Peru. Patrick’s house is beautiful with tons of space for the group to hang out and enjoy the view. We loved taking advantage of the hot tub and lakeside fire pit. Our group had a fabulous time enjoying the outdoor activities and then heading into Manchester for dinner at one of the many fine dining places. Pat’s house was short drive to everything. On the nights we stayed in, the large kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Plenty of space for multiple cooks. The house was immaculate and well supplied. The house had ample space for our entire group. There was a cozy loft with views of the lake, which became a favorite reading spot. Large living room with lake views for everyone to gather. In addition, the new lower level was ideal for playing games, watching movies and working out. The hot tub was clean, large and a relaxing spot to watch the stars at night. The host was accommodating and responsive. I would definitely recommend staying at The Lodge on the Lake.

Pat’s place was beautiful! While we explored a beautiful hiking trail and small town nearby, we also enjoyed our stay on the property just as much. From outdoors, the house is on a small lake you can kayak in and a fire pit for those nice fall nights under the brilliant stars! You can also enjoy the sounds of nature from the hot tub on the deck that overlooks the water. The house also has a small workout area, game area, and a sauna! We were quite comfortable and our only complaint is that we did not spend another couple days there. Pat was also a responsive host and made sure we were all set.

The stay at Pat's place was great. Manchester is close by, which has a nice downtown to explore. We took advantage of some of the nearby hiking trails. The house itself is well appointed and spacious. Loved relaxing in the hot tub at night surrounded by the peaceful quiet. It was also nice to be able to have morning coffee out on the deck with a view of the lake. Thanks again Pat!
