“Zivan was an amazing host. Even though we reached late at night at nearly 10 PM, he was awake to welcome us in help us with the bags, unloading the car, etc. The next day we visited the national park and he gave us a detailed itinerary, which otherwise would not have found online or anywhere, else, it was his own secret itinerary, which was indeed fantastic. “This is a nice family run location. The room was great, very clean. The hostess was very nice, I arrived late in the night and she accommodated my arrival time. “The place is good, near the supermarket, near the centre of Novalja. The only thing that was missing is the freezer in the apartement. We couldn’t make some ice for our homemade cocktails.

“The location was good. But had to collect keys from different places which is not ideal. Again had to give deposits which is also not a good idea as stay was only costing xx Euro and deposit was 5 xx Euros. Basic Amenities like shampoo, Oil (Kitchen) and iron was missing . AC was only in sitting room where you need it in rooms. ”

“We liked the room and also the location. It's about 20 minutes to the center but a number of other places of interest (beach, bar, restaurants) are close as well. Introduction to the facilities could have been better (i.e. happen) and you need to be willing to carry your stuff some stairs. Still, great place to stay! ”

“This flat is in close proximity to the lakes and worked well for our young family (2 adults + 2 children). The flat was very clean and functional.
I read the other reviews regarding the small size of the flat and factored this in. I would suggest a maximum of 3 adults (or 4 people if children included); it would definitely be too small for 6 people, there would be no space for any belongings or even to walk around. The host was communicative regarding check in and also an item that we left……

"Very welcoming hosts and they gave us good information about the Plitvick and flixbus information.
Very cosy room with good WiFi, shower.
Excellent delicious breakfast (€10), very nice dinner with good price. As the previous reviewer said, no need to go somewhere to take breakfast or dinner. (No lunch service)
45 minutes to walk to entrance 2 with ordinary pace.
The nearest flixbus station is about 12 minutes walk. We got off wrongly on entrance 1, where the taxi insisted charging €15, Uber calling failed many times.

"Very warm and nice host, he told us he’s born there so welcome to ask him anything. The next day after the wonderful breakfast he introduced us the best routes to the lakes. The room is big and tidy, comfortable bed and pillows. Need to carry luggage upstairs but that’s expected so it’s fine. "

"Hotel Rustico is actually like a service apartment. I love the environment around, they provided more than enough household equipment. There also some leisure places to walk, bicycle for you to ride and swing for kids. The boss and his mother are very nice, we enjoyed our vacation there very much. However, the lighting system needed to be upgraded."
