Unfortunately, our experience at the DoubleTree Hotel was disappointing. While the reception staff was courteous and professional, we encountered several issues that affected our stay. Upon entering our first room, we discovered a cockroach. The front desk agent was understanding and promptly arranged a room change, which we appreciated.
However, the second room was also problematic. The bed sheets had visible coffee stains, and the water bottles had already been opened—suggesting the room had not been properly cleaned or restocked. When we contacted the front desk, we were told someone would come up to assist with changing the sheets. The person who arrived was from security—not housekeeping—and was visibly annoyed. He made it clear that changing sheets was not his responsibility, left us with the wrong linens, and gave us an ultimatum: he would either bring different sheets or check for another room, but not both.
We opted to check for another room, but upon returning to the front desk, he informed us over the phone that there were no other rooms available. The overall experience left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, particularly given the standards we expected from a DoubleTree property.
