Disappointing Stay – Not Truly Pet-Friendly
I had a very disappointing experience at this property. Although it was listed as “pet-friendly,” I was later told pets were only allowed “on request,” which was not disclosed in the listing. Despite my dog being quiet and well-behaved, I received an unwelcoming message that disrupted my trip.
The major issue was with the refundable incidental/damage fee. Even though I left the room in excellent condition, my refund was denied due to “pet hair”—something never listed as a basis for an extra cleaning fee. I was willing to pay the advertised pet fee, but was surprised by this sudden additional charge the hotel came up with when questioned about my refund, which felt arbitrary and unfair.
Communication was poor; I reached out multiple times and never received a clear response. The listing was misleading, and I felt misled by unexpected fees and lack of accountability. Additionally, the surrounding area was run down and felt unsafe, which added to the discomfort.
I would not stay here again and recommend travelers clarify all pet policies and fee details in writing beforehand.
