My wife can't say enough about our stay. Granted it was off-season, but we prefer a quiter, less populated experience so less people around suited us. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and restaurant choices were excellent. A Dollar/Thrifty car rental hut on premises was a huge perk and so simple to use. The Aquamania hut is also great for snorkeling, kayaking, and other water activities on site. Beautiful property. We would definitely return.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at Divi. The property was spacious, the beaches were beautiful, the staff was wonderful, the food was great. All around we would stay here again. It was easy to drive to / from town. Walking into town would be challenging due to hills and narrow streets, however there were always plenty of taxis at the hotel. We rented a car for the week, parking / driving was easy, be sure have cell phone access for GPS.

Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed at and I've been around the world alot and traveled alot for decades! We stayed here 6 days and loved every second! Great smooth sandy beaches, clear blue water, good food and drinks & several choices for food options too. Super chill and relaxing spot. Nice crew working there as well! Dont listen to the nit-pickey negative reviews on here, this place is top notch & I've told several friends to come here as well! :)

This is a pretty resort and the staff was wonderful. We had an issue in our room that required we move to a different room and they accommodated us with no issues. My only complaint is with the quality of the food. I've spent time at the Divi in Aruba and there the food was great, so I expected the same in St Maarten but that was not the case. An since the resort is not within walking distance of other restaurants you have to rely on cabs (~$12 a trip) or rent your own car to get anywhere. The thing I loved the most was having a room steps from the beach. The beach was clean, the water was amazing and the staff were very helpful with getting us set up with chairs and umbrellas. And we did do a bit of shopping in Philipsburg (dropped a few coins at Neil's Jewelry. Neil and his sister are awesome and our purchases were beautiful), but overall the town is a bit run down. Between Covid and hurricanes I don't think they've fully recovered. Overall we were glad we went, but not likely to make a return trip.

The resort was not difficult to get to from SXM, we had a rental car. Entrance to resort is poor, both coming and going you need to exit heading east and then u-turn if you are heading west (to go anywhere but Great Bay cruise port direction). Shuttle cart drivers were all great. Beach is nice, clean, and sandy - not rocky at all. Pools are nice, well kept. Restaurants are limited in choice, and the food is not the best (although the pizza at Slice was delicious). We would definitely not do all inclusive here, at least not for the food. Rooms were dated (we stayed in 702 bldg 8, then transferred to 708 bldg 12 - both difficult to walk to) and both showed some age, but the new rooms on the west end of the property were new and more modern (they showed us 1411 on our sales pitch tour). All in all, we loved St Maarten, but would probably at least look at other options to stay on a return visit.

I was notified by email that I would get connected rooms as I traveled with my kids. At check in I was told that I'm getting such connected rooms however when I got to my room, there were not connected. Both rooms had very bad smell (combination of mold and sewer) that I could not get rid of. The AC is very loud which can be disturbing during your sleep (sound of an airplane engine when taking off). Paint coming off on some sections of the walls in the bathrooms and some of the room sections looked like it was painted over and over again to the point where you see paint sipping down from excess of paint. I would advise anyone to book rooms in the new section of the resort which I believe are referred as "studios". The old section of the hotel is very old and outdated; photos online do not show what condition are the rooms in. The nice thing about this hotel is the beach which is great.

My husband and I and our 2 babies loved our time here. The view from our room was incredible. The food and beverages with the all inclusive were worth it. Most of the staff were extremely kind and helpful to us. We were able to use one of the resorts cribs for our littlest. The beach and the water here are phenomenal and I liked that they had more than enough beach chairs and umbrellas for resort guests so you’re not having to wake up early to go find a spot before they’re full. This place was family friendly. High chairs ans boosters available at restaurants. Would definitely recommend to families looking for a convenient option on the island.

Hated the taste and smell of the water. Used bottled water for drinking and brushing our teeth. Wait staff and golf cart drivers were wonderful. Exquisite beach. Did all inclusive- food was okay but later dinner times the wait for things to be replenished was long. Wonderful rooftop restaurant. Nice adult bar. Pools clean. Beach service great. Had to call three mornings to get clean towels. Did an Ecotour catamaran around the island with snorkeling - excellent. Overall we would stay there again.
