“The villa is just the right size for a couple or small family. It’s perfectly located in Varenna and easy walking distance to everything. The owners are wonderful, met us to take us to the property and provide several nice amenities. They also checked in on us to make sure we were okay and provided several options for things to do and places to eat. Would highly recommend if you want a true Italian experience.”

“The location is excellent and the view from this property is stunning! Literally walk out your front door and down the steps to the main road lining Varenna. Very walkable! We knew the age of the house based on pictures and description, which is why it was charming and felt “old Italy,” but age did show with some things, like the upstairs bathroom. That being said, we did thoroughly enjoy our stay and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The entrance to the property and parking weee a bit……

“Un magnifique séjour dans une maison confortable, au charme désuet. La vue est à couper le souffle. Nous avons était bien accueilli par Cinzia et son mari qui nous ont aidés à transporter nos bagages. Le village est touristique mais assez tranquille la semaine. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter la région : Milan, Lac de Côme, Bergame. Il y a de nombreux restaurants à proximité. Nous sommes partis à regret de ce très bel endroit.”

“Maison dans un cadre fort reposant. Deconnexion, repos, balade, baignade, barbecue. Les vacances quoi ! Accueil et disponibiite des prprietaires italiens tres sympathiques. On vous recommande cette adresse si vous souhaitez vous reposer dans un cadre "Relax" Petit bonus, nous avions chaque soir un spectacle magnifique la nuit. Une danse de lucioles, visible de la terrasse de la maison. ”

“Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but……

“The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car”
