The location was great and easy to get to. I think the front desk should have a refrigerator where visitors can purchase beverages or water. Especially water. I didn’t like how loud the bathroom fan was. That’s only because I love taking a bath and there was no way I could take one in the dark. The front staff was really friendly and I honestly would stay there again.

Manager was nice but we only stayed one night instead of two because my children saw a half naked woman on the balcony. It doesn’t really look like the pictures. Not bad for adults but not really family friendly in my opinion. If it was just my husband and I, we would’ve stayed. Just didn’t want to chance that situation again.

We really enjoyed our motel stay and the office people and also the ones that brought our supplies to the room each day. I’ve stayed in a lot of motels but never one to text each day to make sure everything is ok, and what we needed.want be our last time at Wild Bear.

Our stay

Cara checked us in and she was very friendly and helpful. The first night there I used the red blanket in the drawer instead of getting under the sheets and I woke up with bites. The next night I slept under the covers and found a few more bites in the morning. We had one more night there and I decided to let the office know about the bites and that there might have been possible bed bugs. There were nice about it but then security came to make a report and I was told due to regulations they had to move my room. I completely understand the reasoning behind that but we were moved to another whole building when it appeared to me that there were a lot of vacant rooms in the building that I was already in. It was very frustrating to have to move luggage, a dog, bags and a child into the car to move one building over at 8:30pm to only have to unload the car into another room to check out again at 10am. It would have really easy to just move things from one room to another within the same building.

Heated pool closed, uncomfortable.

You could feel the bed springs through the mattress. The sink had no room to lay out your bath items. Just a bowl. The year round heated pool was closed even though it was clean and steaming hot. I got two different reasons from two different staff. This is the reason we chose the hotel in the first place
