Stunning hilltop location that offered privacy, 360–degree views, and easy access to Matera and a couple of small charming towns, as well as day trips to the higher-profile tourist towns like Polignano, Alberobello, etc…. “This is an ancient city. It was fascinating to stay in one of the caves where people have lived for over 4000 years. But recently upgraded to modern day comforts and safety. The bedroom/living area is well appointed. The kitchen had everything one needed, and the bathroom had a shower in the cave wall that was as unusual as the city. I enjoyed my stay very much.”

“We were two couples who stayed in this lovely home in Castellaneta Marina for about a week in October. It was immaculately clean, has a full kitchen and living area, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and we were very happy to have screens in the bedroom windows so we could sleep with them open at night. “First and foremost the property manager and her communication were excellent with extremely quick replies to our questions and her offers to go above and beyond which we politely declined. The property was clean and in good shape. Additional accessories such dish towels, a tea kettle, a pair of scissors, and spatula would have been helpful”

“Der Pool ist riesig und das Personal sehr freundlich. Deutsch spricht hier niemand, aber die meisten können so weit Englisch, dass man sich verstängigen kann. Die Apartments sind groß und wir hatten auch eine wunderschöne große Loggia, die wir sehr genossen haben. Allerdings sind die Apartments nicht besonders schön eingerichtet, und bei uns kam auch der Putz von der Schlafzimmerwand. Dafür fand ich das Doppelbett sehr bequem, allerdings waren die Schlafsofa selbst für die Kinder……

“The cave was absolutely beautiful. The view was stunning. The welcome was lovely. You can walk everywhere. It’s a very quiet area. You have to park your car on the outskirts of the town, pay for public parking, and also pay for a tax- |~ extra 60 euros . Despite all that, our stay was excellent.”
