I was shocked at the lack of cleanliness at this hotel. I went to the room and the sheets had blood and other nasty stains on them and there was hair everywhere. The sink, tub and toilet were all dirty and had not been cleaned. When I went to the front desk to ask for a refund they told me their cleaning person had cleaned the room, which is a disgrace because even the lobby was disgusting. I got my money back and went across the street to the LaQuinta and I would recommend that hotel to anyone. The people working at this Best Value Inn should be fired!

The property appears to beused as a local boarding house maybe. I had a fridge that wasnt very cold, a door that wasnt locking properly and most of all there was a roach walking around on the sofa, where there's one there's many more unseen and upon check out I notified the front desk and he acted like I was lying sorry this placed is poorly maintained and poorly run Andy

We were only staying one night to catch an early flight in Plattsburgh. It’s old and cheap to stay, but the room was clean. Beds and everything is old like it’s been there since it opened. I would say that you get what you pay for.

I have stayed at America’s Best Value Inn multiple times because of its budget-friendly rates and last-minute availability. However, my recent experience was unacceptable. The room was extremely unclean—the comforter was covered in dog hair, and there were long strands of brunette hair all over the sheets, pillows, bathroom floor, sink, and towels. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. Additionally, there was no hot water in the shower or bathroom sink during my stay, despite the outside temperature being 7 degrees in Plattsburgh. This made for an extremely uncomfortable experience. The linens were also stained and dirty, with visible boot prints as if they had been stepped on and then reused. I understand this is a budget hotel, but the lack of cleanliness and basic amenities is unacceptable. I can no longer recommend this hotel to anyone, including solo travelers or families. I will not be returning.

I appreciated that America’s Best in Plattsburgh allowed me to check in early at 11 AM instead of 3 PM, and the staff was polite and accommodating. However, the towels and linens were soiled, and there were cigarette burn holes in the bedding, making the room feel unclean. Additionally, there were 4-5 men in the parking lot smoking and trying to sell marijuana, which didn’t feel safe. While it’s a budget-friendly last-minute option, cleanliness and security need serious improvement.
