Just finished staying at Hyatt Zilara in Riviera Maya. It was different. Over all i would say our stay was fine. Not exactly what I would expect to say about a Hyatt. This was my first time staying at an American owned chain. I have stayed in Excellence, Majestic and RUIs. The room was very clean and spacious. I was shocked to find out that there was no hard alcohol in the rooms. You can only get wine through room service to your room. We stayed in a swim up room and there was no way to get drink service to our swim up. The area is secluded. The privacy is nice but the no cocktails forces you to make trips to the pool bar with a yeti to bring back alcohol to your room or just drink and use the main pool, but that defeats the purpose of a swim up room to me. The pool bar usually had one bartender, Nelson he managed the crowd well. Hard working employee. When we would eat at a restaurant you could see the hostess doing multiple jobs, in fact not just thr hostess. The bus boy was bringing water, taking orders and bringing orders out, while getting the drinks from another location. Our order ended up going to a table near us through this confusion. The hostess can be seen wiping down tables and bringing coffee or water. The employees are very friendly and helpful but they could only do so much. My go to drink is Jameson and one night they completely ran out. I'm not sure how that happens. Maybe it's not popular to stock but it was a big selling point when
