The only thing I liked about the property was the iguanas, cats, and the raccoon lookalike creature. The food was good and Colt was a great bartender. Also Christian that works in the very front and drives the cart was amazing and very friendly. Besides that the seaweed was EXTREME and made the resort stink very badly. Also passlane walk to my room, there was a lot of trash in the ground where the plants are. Eco not friendly.

Beautiful resort, the pools are gorgeous. The rooms were large and clean, beds comfy and air conditioning worked well. The food was good in all of the restaurants although they could use a snack bar that is open all of the time. Some of the staff at some of the restaurants could be more pleasant however. The beach was very disappointing. The resort could have some more activities to make up for that and it could use some more events at night. Overall a great trip.

They didn’t bother to clear the beach of seaweed so you couldn’t go down to the beach at all - the smell of the seaweed was noxious. The food was very hit and miss. The drinks were terrible.

The food was good and the staff were great. The seaweed was so bad during my visit, we weren’t even able to get in the ocean. Make sure you take a pair of pants if you want to eat something other than the buffet.

Beautiful and comfortable. Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Dinner was our favorite part of the evening. Wide variety of steaks, chicken and they accommodate individuals with allergies highly recommended. The entertainers during night shows were excellent and professional.

The resort was absolutely stunning! The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the size of the resort was impressive. One of the highlights was the ability to access the neighboring resorts, which added even more variety to our stay. The food was excellent across the board. The buffet had a wide range of options and everything was fresh and delicious. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. Entertainment was enjoyable as well, with a good mix of activities and shows to keep us entertained throughout our stay. The only downside was the heavy sargassum along the beach, which unfortunately affected the experience at Playa. We ended up heading to Cozumel to enjoy clearer waters. Additionally, we were disappointed with the service at the on-site restaurants—the waitstaff were consistently rude and unwelcoming, which took away from the otherwise great dining experiences. Overall, we had a great time and would consider returning, especially if the beach conditions improve and the service issues are addressed.

The trip started off okay until one day we came back to the room after having an excursion and I found the safe opened with money missing. Instead of being apologetic or accommodating in any way, the staff launched an “investigation” that had to include their head of security to go through every single one of our personal items. We were told nothing would be done if we didn’t consent to the search. I decided to end the investigation because my privacy was worth a lot more than the money that was stolen. I had to sign a paper saying I was declining the investigation and that the issue would stop there. It seems like they don’t care about the safety of their guests or the fact that there is a thief in their employ. Had they handled the situation better, we would likely return but they made us feel like we were the thieves. The head of security is an extremely rude person who needs to practice a little more empathy and understanding. Furthermore, at the airport a gentleman from inegi conducted a survey about our trip and treatment. I told him what happened and he immediately reassured me that “investigation “ is not typical and he would be raising a red flag into their establishment. I’m not sure how far that will go but at least I had reassurance that the way they were going about the things was crazy. Go somewhere else please!!!!

The rooms are a great size. It’s nice to not have to make reservations at the restaurants. Aroma was a nice fine dining experience. Biggest issue was lack of loungers near pool. Lots of seaweed but got better as you move to the family side. Gordon Ramirez was super nice and fun.
