Title: Not Worth the Price – Poor Service & Outdated Property
I booked this hotel based on positive reviews, but my experience was the opposite. The all-inclusive package was extremely limited—same food daily, only one restaurant and one pool bar. The pool bar staff were horrendous. They blatantly ignored guests, including children, and only served those who tipped heavily or they favored. Others waited 20 minutes, often without acknowledgment. For a hotel where this is the only open food and drink option for long parts of the day, it was unacceptable and completely ruined the experience. Cheap bear and house liquor only were included.
Housekeeping was inconsistent. We got one towel per person and had to track down staff for basic items like shampoo. Water was shut off nightly from 2–4 a.m., which is ridiculous. No pool or beachside service, and beach chairs had to be requested.
The hotel is outdated. One pool, no hot tub, and the “a la carte” Italian restaurant offered little more than basic pasta. Excursions were limited and far away. While the beach was beautiful and sunsets were lovely, this property doesn’t reflect the charm of Costa Rica, nor is it worth the price.
To Management: Please train your pool bar staff in hospitality. Their attitude was unacceptable.
Also, I question the authenticity of the glowing reviews—my experience was nothing like them. I will not return nor can I recommend this hotel.
Visit Costa Rica, but stay somewhere else.
