“We come out to NC Wine Country every Spring and Fall and if we have a big enough group (6-8), this has been our preferred property. It's perfectly situated near so many of our favorite Wineries and Vineyards, so our itinerary always starts and ends locally. We make full use of the kitchen for breakfasts and choose one of the Wineries for our Saturday evening dinner. As simple as it is, I also love that every room has at least a Queen bed! “This was a second stay here for three friends wanting to bike, hike and just have time together. There’s no check-in here. You just open the key box and walk in. We so enjoyed this quiet place away from traffic but minutes from the New River Trail and downtown Galax. We enjoyed having a bedroom for each of us instead of being crowded in a motel room as we used to be. We claimed our previous bedrooms! We had everything we needed in this sweet super clean home with the owner just a large yard……

“We stayed for a family get together, the space was nice but for a larger group (7) the kitchen was small. We used paper plates and plasticware to keep down on dishes but there is only one outside trash can and with a larger group including an infant trash was taken out more often and accumulated quickly. Take notethere is no yard to walk your dog, we had our small dog and walked her up the road which wasn't a problem for us. Easy check-in and out. We would stay again, we loved the decks and……

“We Enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean, peaceful, and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The check in email had every detail included, including where to park and how to enter the house. The house is clean with linens and towels provided. The coffee maker is a keurig/pod which is what we like to use and they even left us some fresh eggs, which were delicious for breakfast. We loved watching the cows in the field grazing too! Perfect location to the Shelton Vineyards, Dobson,……

“This was the perfect place to stay for our daughter’s wedding that was in State Road at Whispering Ridge Farm! The owner’s were amazing when we had an issue with the oven. Very responsive and super helpful. The real wood-burning fireplace was an added bonus! Very relaxing decks with magnificent views! Would definitely stay here again!”
