“I have stayed at La Residence probably 5-6 times over the last 5-6 years. It is a lovely spot close to great dining options by the sea. Some of the rooms are quite spacious. The standard ones are fine. The pool and bar area are inviting. All of the staff are helpful but I would say that most are not very pleasant which is not usual for Senegal which is known for its Terranga. The property could also use a bit of renovation. But I am likely to continue to return unless another reasonably priced……

“Maison Abaka is an oasis in a chaotic city. It has a lovely location, right on the beach, overlooking Mgor Island. It also has some very nice decks with chairs around a tiny pool and overlooking the sea. The rooms were good, with all that one needs to be happy. They are not luxurious but they are comfortable and clean with good showers and decent air con. “J’ai occupé une jolie chambre mais sans fenêtre. La porte d’entrée est vitrée mais elle donne sur une cour intérieure où les gens prennent le petit déjeuner, travaillent à l’ordinateur ou discutent juste en face de cette porte. Ils peuvent voir ce qui se passe dans la chambre. Il faut donc toujours garder les rideaux fermés. C’est donc une chambre complètement borgne. ”
