“Das Haus ist ruhig am oberem Ende von Ponta Delgada gelegen, hat Alles was man braucht, aber allerdings ein Bisschen verwohnt. Wäre die Erhaltung der Substanz im Vordergrund würden wir aufgrund der Lage und der Stilechtheit mehr Punkte vergeben. Das Haus ist der perfekte Ausgang für Wanderungen sowie der ruhige Ort um danach zu entspannen. Der untypische Grill ist genial und lässt Fleisch zu dem werden das man auf dieser schönen Insel erwartet. Das Umfeld der Outdoorküche ist leider größtenteils……

“While no rental is perfect, this rental ticks all the boxes. Check in was seamless and communication with the management company was always easy. The apartment comes with a very well outfitted kitchen and is spacious with a great terrace. The location in Garajau has multiple restaurants and shopping within walking distance and is right by the highway for easy access to the rest of the island. We had a very pleasant 2 week stay and would gladly come back.”

“Our location was beautiful. We met our host and showed us our villa. It was a condo cottage part of a hotel.Our condo was clean . Our bed was very uncomfortable and our pillows were extremely hard. No extra anything to exchange themThe pool was lovely, the hot tub was a cold tub. We loved the location however barking dogs kept us awake both nights. Be aware of many steep stairs. Hate to be negative but can’t give more than a three. ”

For a very reasonable fee, Marco met me at the airport and took me on a tour of Funchal. The accommodation is more than adequate. Quiet and very private. “In a word, fabulous. The villa is located in a very quiet area, the stay was in perfect peace (the occasional and distant dog barking is not disturbing at all and the neighbors' dogs are completely calm). It's almost a miracle that the villa is also a few minutes drive from the centre of Funchal, also a large supermarket with groceries, meat, fish and everything you need and also a great starting point for any trip.
