“We were very happy with the accommodation including the modern well stocked kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. It was comfortable and roomy. As we drove there Penneshaw was a great location as it was very close to the ferry. There were some interesting walks nearby. We did a day tour which also left from Penneshaw.Would love to come back and stay at the house for a longer period of time to further explore. We decided not to bring the dogs but the area at the back would be very suitable. Many thanks……

“This property is quiet and comfortable, convenient to town and ferry with great ocean views, with dolphins swimming past morning and evening. You can’t ask for more.”

“Great location if you are planning to take the ferry to Kangaroo Island. There is a pub accross the street for food. Room is spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a rodent trying to get into our snacks and eat my vitamins and medici left on the counter for the next morning.”

“Our room was really comfortable and very homely but tastefully decorated at the same time. Good bed and good cooking facilities. The kitchen was well stocked. We had beautiful gum trees with koalas right near our door. American River is a great location as its half way between Penneshaw and Kingscote. We really enjoyed our stay.”
