A province-wide fire ban is currently in effect across Newfoundland and Labrador. During this time, all outdoor fires are prohibited on forest land and within 300 meters of forested areas.
This measure has been implemented due to the heightened risk of wildfires and is scheduled for reassessment on September 7th.
Please be advised that failure to comply with the ban may result in a minimum fine of $1,000.
