“The house was quite nice overall. A little disappointing that the woodstove didn't work, especially as the weather was cool and wet. The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful. It was plenty warm once I found the controls. The setting is beautiful, and the stairs down to the lake……

“Centrally located, my stay at The Lookout allowed me to attend three outstanding Celtic Colours concerts in Judique, Cheticamp and Mabou. The accommodation is all that was promised… spotless, all amenities, comfortable bed, great shower, cozy even as the October temperatures dipped and wind drove the waves along the coast. One morning, I walked to the shore on the private path… here are some of my impressions— Collindale I walk a well-tended path to the shore past the lonely cormorant……
