Charming location. In the woods so there are bugs but it’s part of the woodsy oasis experience. There are places to eat on the property and walking or driving distance to the Dunes park. Rooms are spacious but dates. We had a balcony that was weathered a bit so I did not feel comfortable going outside to stand on it. The view from the balcony window was beautiful and peaceful. There’s a nice size pool and sauna. Breakfast was redundant but decent: egg patties. Sausage links, continental breakfast item, and waffles. Overall, I would stay here again.

I've stayed at the Spring House Inn several times, never in season. It was never crowded while I was there. It is set in a little bit of woods very near the Indiana Dunes National Park. It's very quiet, and it's quaint. The complimentary breakfast is not very good, much more limited than most other hotel complimentary breakfasts, and not that appealing. The only nearby dining option is the Pizzeria Uno that is right next door, and it's not open for breakfast.

Smell of air freshener was so strong in the hallway and room. There was another odor in the room as well, but I’m not sure what it was. It just didn’t feel good for my health. I did enjoy, however, how quiet it was and how dark the room was for sleeping. Good gluten free pizza next door. Overall, it just felt like I paid too much for what the quality of the experience was.

Spring House Inn is delightfully designed and constructed. It has retained its character since its opening. But, the daily service has slipped, the destruction of woods next to it lessens its attractiveness, and glaring lights in its parking area are awful! Sorry about them, and the fact that its Mineral Springs Road access remains closed.

The room was nice and very clean! Very 70s cottage inspired! I love it! Balcony is mesmerizingly beautiful! Bathroom is clean! Enough towels! New bedding! Nice tv! Had Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix had just started when I got in! (I LOVE HP) and they have a nice clean microwave and also a mini fridge! Very nice restaurant right next to the inn. Pizzeria Uno! Fantastic restaurant. Caesar salad is TO DIE FOR! Calamari???? AMAZING!! Pizza??? DELECTABLE!!! Chicago deep dish in Indiana?!! WHO KNEW?!! This place is amazing!!! Come out here for your getaways!!!

Very quaint hotel with antiques. While it was dated, it added to the charm. I was told a later checkout was not an option even though they had something at the front that said it was available for a fee. We were asked to leave the sitting room so they could clean (it was after 11 am), but the manager was rude about it.

Beautiful renovations have been done to the area adjacent to the main building. The outdoor seating is welcoming and comfortable. I wish the hanging nest chairs were able to be positioned to face 360° instead of having to view the storage crate and unkept part of the parking lot. Other than that, it’s a time capsule and I mean that in the best way possible. The perfect alternative to stuffy modern hotels they lack originality, character, or charm. This place has it all.
