I want to love this hotel. I have been going here for years, but since they have changed hands, they are slowly but surely doing away with all the amenities (pool, shuttle, breakfast.)
And: when I went to check in, the girl at the front desk was already helping someone else. She did not acknowledge me with a hello. And when it was my turn, she STILL said nothing.
Then: there were dirty towels/linens on the floor in the halls when we got there. And doors just propped open up and down the hall. It was creepy and weird.
My guests were uncomfortable with the “no weapons” sign on the front door.
There were so many small things they could do to make a stay at this grand old hotel seem great. But instead, you walk in and the door mat is disintegrating under your feet and the overall service falls flat.
