Our all-adult family truly enjoyed our stay at Melissa’s place while visiting from out of state for a family wedding in Port Gamble. The home was very clean, comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. Putting 2 & 2 together, we noticed that Melissa must be an artist and there were tasteful evidences of her art in strategic places in the home; nice touch. Poulsbo is very handy nearby and has a lot of wonderful things to see & do; delightful. The kitchen was adequately supplied with everything we needed, though the coffee maker was low caliber compared to the quality of everything else, and there were only 5 coffee cups for our 7 guests. On the downside in the kitchen, though the cupboards are nicely labeled as to where things go, all the upper shelves were so high that we had difficulty reaching some of the plates, glasses & other things. With a reservation for 7 people, I wish I had paid closer attention to the VRBO listing that showed that it had only 1 shower. (Not Melissa’s fault; she advertised it correctly, but I overlooked the detail.) That made things a little tricky for getting 7 people ready for a wedding, especially when the shower water pressure was a bit weak making showers a little longer than usual. We also did not have enough bath towels for all 7 guests, so we had to share.Our negatives are minor compared to the beautiful quality of this home. We had a great time while there and would definitely stay there again. Overall, 9 out of 10 rating.
