The hotel was fantastic — beautifully maintained, with a delicious breakfast, and the charm of being right in Furnas made the whole experience even better. We loved strolling through the village and discovering some lovely local restaurants. But the real highlight? Staying here came with access to the incredible Terra Nostra Garden. Spending the day soaking in the thermal pool, lounging in the hot tub, and wandering through the lush gardens was absolute heaven. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Stayed for three nights. Comfortable room with lots of amenities. The Terra Nostra garden is amazing and could spend the entire time there if you wanted to. The restaurant is very good and above my expectations. Didn’t get a chance to try the sushi restaurant but maybe next time.. Staff is exceptional as well, freindly and professional.

We had a beautiful room in the old part of the hotel, overlooking the garden, but we were above the kitchen and 2 of 3 nights, the movement in the kitchen was very noisy requiring earplugs at a minimum… so another room would be better. Breakfast was very good and plentiful and the staff attentive. We had 2 dinners in the bar both of which were excellent and reasonably priced. We had a rental car which was nice to get out and see the sights.

This property was absolutely beautiful!! Being able to wander the gardens at night, restaurants on premise, beautiful art deco design, and wonderful staff, really made this place amazing. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, and the choices were great!! We ate at the bar for two nights, and the food and staff were awesome-thanks Milton and Fred!!

Wonderful experience in nature and relaxation at this spa hotel located in a famous botanical garden. Most of the staff is five star from the bar to breakfast to the main restaurant. There is an employee in the bar and another at breakfast who need to be trained to the level of their magnificent peers. Other than that, the professionalism of the staff, the manicured gardens, the majestic thermal baths and surroundings were idyllic. My only suggestion would be that they add more lighting around the baths—even if with LED strip lighting for safety and ambience.

We had a unique experience at the hotel and gardens. It almost feels like a time machine taking you to the 30-s. Every employee was old school attentive and perfectly trained to provide seamless service. The botanical garden and the jacuzzi are so very special. I don't know why they don't film movies at the place. It's just magical. We visited both restaurants and the bar and food was exceptional at every place. If you don't reserve the restaurants, don't worry you will get perfectly good options at the bar.
