“The property itself is lovely, but the neighborhood has seen better days. The city other than the one street with the cafe and mural seems to be vacant and there isn’t much to do for a family with young children other than the park with the light house. But like I said, the home was lovely.”

“The Chesapeake Mansion was even better than it looks on the VRBO listing. Huge house but still managed to feel warm and inviting, never cold or stand-offish. We cooked big dinners for our group of 12 and the kitchen was perfect for that. Billiards room was fun, amazing bar room, also an exercise room. Walking out on the dock was always a treat. With 12 people, folks could always find a place to chill out when they wanted, but we also had big rooms where we could all get together for chatting and……

“This is such a great house and property! It's really close to St. Michael's without being right in town. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom which makes it great for multiple guests, the kitchen is well stocked, AC worked wonderfully, the pool is such a plus, etc. Thank you!”

“Soul enriching location. The dock, the fresh eggs, the local GBH, and night sky all contribute. Quick access to Blackwater NWR. The furnishings and kitchen accessories are adequate. The microwave door no longer closes correctly and has to be pushed until the fan stops. None of that matters because of the location. ”

“This house is huge and has lots of different indoor and outdoor gathering spaces so the kids and adults in our group of three families didn’t have to be on top of each other in one living space the whole time. Big firepit area and huge lawn were great, and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. There’s a place to buy fresh crabs, oysters, and shrimp very close by, and the house has everything you need for a crab night. The owner was incredibly responsive and kind.”
