Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a non-refundable family room through Expedia, and upon arrival at the hotel, I was told that all family rooms were unavailable. I was shocked—especially since this was a prepaid booking—and left scrambling to figure out alternative accommodations late at night.
It felt like the hotel had overbooked, similar to what sometimes happens with airlines. This was the first time something like this happened to me in the UK with a prepaid reservation.
In the end, we were forced to settle for a much smaller double room, which was clearly not suitable for a family. The hotel did offer us free breakfast as compensation, but honestly, it was not enough to make up for the stress and inconvenience.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Even if you have a prepaid booking, I advise you to be cautious. Try to arrive early in case there are issues with your reservation so you have time to make other arrangements if needed. Always have a backup plan because this hotel may not honor your booking.
